Frequently asked questions
How much does a dedicated developer cost?
Rates depend on seniority, specialism and engagement length. Offshore and nearshore rates are materially below UK, EU and Gulf local market rates, which is usually the reason companies look. We quote per role after the requirements call, with no recruitment fee.
Is it safe to outsource software development to Pakistan?
It is as safe as the contract and the controls you put around it. What matters is IP assignment in writing, code in your repositories, access through your own accounts, NDAs with named individuals, and a trial period before you commit. Ask any vendor for those. We provide them as standard.
What time zones do you cover?
We work standard overlap with the UK, Europe and the Gulf, and partial overlap with North American mornings. Overlap hours are agreed in writing at kickoff rather than left informal.
Who owns the code and the IP?
You do, from the first commit. Code lives in your repositories, infrastructure in your cloud accounts, and IP assignment is written into the contract.
What if the engineer is not a good fit?
Tell us in the trial period and there is no charge for the replacement. After that we replace with handover at no additional fee. We would rather change the person than lose the relationship.
Can we start with one engineer?
Yes. Most of our dedicated team engagements started as a single developer and grew once the working relationship was proven.
