AI Voice Agents

An AI voice agent answers or places phone calls in a natural voice, understands what the caller wants, and completes the task: qualifying the lead, booking the appointment, or writing the outcome into your CRM. EqualPixels builds voice agents for businesses that lose money to missed calls, in English, Urdu and Arabic.

What is an AI voice agent?

An AI voice agent is a telephony application that combines speech recognition, a language model and speech synthesis so a caller can speak normally instead of navigating a menu. Unlike an IVR, it has no fixed tree. Unlike a recorded message, it can look things up and take action while the caller is still on the line.

What our voice agents do

  • Answer every inbound call, including nights, weekends and when your team is on another line
  • Qualify callers with the questions your sales team would ask, and score the lead
  • Book, reschedule and confirm appointments directly in your calendar or CRM
  • Answer routine questions from your own documentation, with a citation trail in the transcript
  • Place outbound calls for reminders, confirmations and follow-ups, within the consent rules of your market
  • Transfer to a human the moment the caller asks, sounds frustrated, or raises anything sensitive
  • Write everything back: transcript, summary, outcome, next action

How we build voice agents

  1. Listen to real calls. We transcribe a sample of your actual calls to learn how customers really ask.
  2. Script the outcomes, not the words. We define what a successful call achieves and let the agent get there naturally.
  3. Wire the tools. Calendar, CRM, availability, pricing rules, so the agent can act rather than promise a callback.
  4. Tune latency. Voice is unforgiving. Anything above roughly a second of silence feels broken, so we optimise the whole path.
  5. Set escalation rules. Complaints, payments and anything sensitive go to a person immediately.
  6. Measure. Answer rate, containment rate, booking rate, average handling time, and call recordings reviewed weekly for the first month.

Languages and telephony

We build in English, Urdu and Arabic, including Gulf and Levantine variants, and European languages. We work with Twilio, Vonage and local SIP providers, and can port an existing number or run the agent on a new one alongside your current line.

Frequently asked questions

Will callers know they are talking to an AI?

Yes, and they should. We disclose it at the start of the call. In several markets disclosure is a legal requirement, and in all of them it reduces complaints. Callers accept an AI that solves the problem; they resent one that pretends.

How natural does it sound?

Current voice models are close to indistinguishable in short exchanges. The limitation is not the voice, it is interruption handling and latency, which is where most of our tuning effort goes.

What does an AI voice agent cost to run?

Running cost is per minute and depends on the models and telephony provider you use. Build cost depends on how many systems the agent must reach and how many call outcomes it must handle. We quote both separately so you can see the ongoing number before committing.

Can it handle Arabic or Urdu?

Yes, and we test with native speakers. Accent and dialect coverage varies by model, so we benchmark on your real callers before promising a quality level.

What happens if it cannot help?

It transfers to a human with the transcript and context already attached, or takes a message and creates the task, depending on the time of day and your rules.

Is it a voice agent or a chatbot we need?

If your customers call, it is a voice agent. If they message, it is a chatbot. Many businesses need both, sharing one knowledge base so the answers match.
