Odogrid is a car rental operations platform built and run by EqualPixels. It gives rental companies one dashboard for trips, vehicles, drivers and invoicing, and gives their drivers an Android app that records each trip as it happens.
What Odogrid does
Most small and mid sized rental operations run on a mix of spreadsheets, phone calls and WhatsApp messages. Bookings live in one place, driver assignments in another, and invoices get rebuilt by hand at the end of the month. Odogrid replaces that with a single system where a booking becomes a trip, a trip becomes a record, and the record becomes an invoice without anyone retyping it.
Rental operations in one dashboard
Trips and dispatch
Schedule pickups and drop offs, assign a vehicle and a driver to each trip, and watch live status from one screen. Operations staff can see which trips are due, which are running and which are finished without calling anyone to ask.
Fleet and vehicles
Every vehicle in the fleet has a record: availability, documents and maintenance history. Registration, insurance and inspection dates are tracked against the vehicle rather than remembered, so a car that is out of service or out of paperwork does not get dispatched by mistake.
Drivers
Driver profiles, licence and document records, assignment history and per trip activity, all tied back to the trips they ran.
Invoicing and payments
Invoices are raised from completed trips automatically and payments are tracked against them, so billing reflects what actually happened on the road instead of what someone remembered to write down.
The Odogrid driver app
Drivers get a dedicated Android app rather than a phone number and a notebook. From the app a driver can:
- See the trips assigned to them
- Start and stop a trip
- Enter trip details as the job progresses
While a trip is running, the app records the vehicle’s location, the time spent on the trip and the speed travelled. That gives the office an accurate picture of each job for dispatch, for customer questions and for billing, and it means the trip record is captured at the source instead of reconstructed afterwards.

WhatsApp notifications and customer messaging
Rental operations already run on WhatsApp. Customers ask about their booking there, drivers confirm pickups there, and accounts chase payment there. Odogrid connects to the WhatsApp Business Platform so those conversations happen inside the system rather than on someone’s personal phone.
Odogrid uses the WhatsApp Business API to send rental customers and drivers the operational updates tied to their own bookings and trips, including:
- Booking and reservation confirmations
- Trip and driver assignment notifications, including vehicle and pickup details
- Trip start, trip completion and status updates
- Invoice notifications and payment reminders
- Vehicle document and renewal reminders for fleet staff
- Replies to customer questions about an existing booking, handled by the rental company’s own team
Messages are sent by the rental company operating the Odogrid account, to its own customers and drivers, about bookings and trips those people are party to. Recipients opt in when they make a booking or when they are added to a fleet as a driver, and every conversation can be stopped at the recipient’s request.
